🍋Ingredients
Lemon Juice. I recommend using fresh lemon juice for the best result. We’re using about 4 lemons to get ¾ cup of juice.
You can use lime juice, just remember that limes are tangier than lemons.
Brown Sugar. You can use light or dark brown sugar for this recipe. Light brown sugar contains less molasses, giving this lemonade a milder caramel flavor, while dark brown sugar makes it stronger.
You can use brown sugar simple syrup to sweeten this lemonade.
🫗How to make it
Step 01. Squeeze the lemons.
Tip: Roll lemons on the counter, pressing down, or microwave them for 15 seconds to extract more juice.
Step 02. In a pitch, add 5 cups of water. Don’t add ice cubes yet.
Step 03. Add lemon juice and brown sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Serve the lemonade over ice.
Tip: Use lemonade ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes. It prevents the lemonade from watering down, making a delicious beverage from start to finish.
