Brown Sugar Lemonade

Brown Sugar Lemonade infuses tangy citrus flavors with the rich sweetness of brown sugar. Made with fresh lemons and in less than 5 minutes, this drink has caramel notes that add a delicious depth to this classic summer beverage.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • ¾ cup brown sugar light or dark

Instructions

  • Squeeze the lemons. Roll lemons on the counter, pressing down, or microwave them for 15 seconds to extract more juice.
  • In a pitch, add 5 cups of water. Don’t add ice cubes yet.
  • Add lemon juice and brown sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  • Serve the lemonade over ice.

Notes

Lemonade Ice Cubes. Use lemonade ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes. It prevents the lemonade from watering down, making a delicious beverage from start to finish.
Brow Sugar Syrup. You can use brown sugar syrup instead of brown sugar. Add the same amount asked for sugar (¾ cup), but only 4 ⅓ cups of water.
If you want it sweeter, just add more sugar. Add 1 tbsp, stir and taste.
