Ingredients

  • 1 cup blood orange juice about 5 blood oranges
  • ½ cup lemon juice about 3 lemons
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 tablespoon honey
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Boil the water with the cinnamon sticks. Boil it, and wait for it to cool down. 10 to 15 minutes should be enough.
  • Juice about 5 blood oranges until you have 1 cup of juice. Don’t forget to remove the seeds.
  • Juice about 3 lemons until you have ½ cup of juice. Again, remember to remove all seeds.
  • In a pitcher, add blood orange and lemon juice, cool cinnamon water and honey.
  • Keep the lemonade refrigerated for 1 hour. Serve with ice cubes.

Notes

Make it vegan: substitute honey for vegan honey.
Use lemonade ice cubes when serving for extra flavor.
If using sparkling water: add the sparkling water just before serving.
If using cinnamon powder, add about ¼ teaspoon. Whisk well to combine. There's no need to boil water if adding cinnnamon powder.
