Notes

Ice cubes:
  • Water ice cubes: use filtered water to fill an ice cube tray. Freeze it until ice cubes set.
  • Matcha ice cubes: mix 1 teaspoon of matcha and 1 cup of hot water, until powder is dissolved and free of lumps. Use a manual or electric whisker. Fill an ice cube tray, freezing it until ice cubes set.
  • Matcha latte ice cubes: mix 1 teaspoon of matcha and 1 cup of hot milk, until powder is dissolved and free of lumps. Use a manual or electric whisker. Fill an ice cube tray, freezing it until ice cubes set.
Honey substitutes:
  • Add the same amount if using: sugar, maple syrup, vegan honey.
  • Start with the same amount and add more if necessary if using simple sugar syrup.
  • For a delicious twist, try making this recipe with brown sugar syrup.
Variations:
  • Keto Version: use coconut or almond milk instead of oat milk, and substitute honey for your favorite keto sweetener (I usually go for monk sugar or erythritol).
  • Vegan Version: substitute honey for vegan honey (contains can sugar) or maple syrup.
  • Milk: you can use your favorite plant-based or dairy milk. All milk should be unsweetened and unflavored.
